An onboarding journey of discovery
Successful onboarding is about more than sharing information. New employees want to understand the organisation, build meaningful connections and discover how different business lines work together. To create a memorable first experience, Businessgames partnered with Van Lanschot Kempen to develop an interactive escape room-inspired Onboarding Game called ‘Identify Your Potential’. The experience forms part of the onboarding day and takes participants on a journey through the organisation’s rich history.
Crack the vault
At the centre of the room stands a historic vault that once belonged to Cornelis van Lanschot and dates back to 1737. The challenge is simple: be the first team to crack the code and unlock the vault. To uncover the correct numbers, teams solve realistic business cases based on Van Lanschot Kempen’s different business lines. Every successful challenge reveals new insights as well as another clue that brings participants closer to the final code.
Along the way, participants discover how the organisation’s different business lines are connected. At the same time, they get to know their new colleagues. Collaboration, knowledge sharing and logical thinking ultimately determine which team unlocks the vault first.
