Univé
Serious Games
Client: Univé
Location: The Netherlands
Target group: Students and IT professionals
Objective: Raising cyber security awareness while introducing participants to Univé's products and services
Two interactive games. One shared objective.
For the largest ICT and technology exhibition in the Northern Netherlands, Univé partnered with Businessgames to create two complementary Serious Games. One game engaged more than 150 participants during the Univé seminar. The other attracted a continuous flow of visitors to the exhibition stand.
Although the formats differed, both games shared the same objective: making cyber security tangible, encouraging interaction and turning learning into an engaging experience.

Solving cyber security challenges together
During the seminar, teams tackled a series of realistic IT cases. Their challenge was to select the most effective combination of Univé’s products and services to solve each scenario.
Teams worked with a deck of solution cards covering topics such as Cyber Security, AI Awareness and the Internet_of_Things. Every decision required strategic thinking. Teams negotiated with one another to obtain missing cards, refined their approach and presented their final solution to an expert jury.
Strong pitches earned more stars and unlocked the next challenge. The competitive format encouraged participants to share knowledge, collaborate and apply new insights immediately.

Beat the chatbot
Meanwhile, visitors at the exhibition stand tested their cyber security knowledge in a fast-paced chatbot challenge. Participants answered twelve cyber security questions against the clock. Every correct answer revealed a letter, while incorrect answers produced a question mark. As the game progressed, players collected the clues needed to solve a twelve-letter password.
The final decision added an extra layer of excitement. Participants could reveal the position of one letter at the cost of valuable points, or take a calculated risk and guess the complete password for a bonus. The live leaderboard displayed every score, creating a competitive atmosphere throughout the day. Only one participant claimed the title of Cyber Champion and took home the top prize.

Lasting impact beyond the event
The success of both games did not end with the exhibition. Univé transformed the concepts into internal learning tools that now support onboarding, team development and cyber security awareness across the organisation. The result is more than a successful event. It is a sustainable learning solution that continues to strengthen knowledge, collaboration and cyber resilience long after the exhibition has ended.
