An onboarding experience that brings KPN to life

Four times a year, KPN welcomes its newest colleagues with an inspiring onboarding event. The morning is dedicated to introducing participants to the organisation, its strategy and its culture. In the afternoon, it’s time to put that knowledge into practice with the interactive ‘KPN Network Builder‘ Onboarding Game.

Designed to encourage collaboration, networking and creative thinking, the game gives new employees the opportunity to experience KPN in a fun, engaging and memorable way.

KPN Network Builder

Working in teams, participants are challenged to create and run their own KPN company. Their mission? To build an organisation that attracts both happy customers and engaged employees. To succeed, teams develop a clear mission, vision and strategy. Participants quickly discover how much they’ve already learned during their first weeks at KPN, putting their knowledge into practice as they present and pitch their company’s vision.

The second round shifts the focus to action. Teams negotiate with one another, make strategic decisions and gather the resources they need to invest in facilities, services and opportunities that will help their KPN company thrive. Collaboration, communication and smart decision-making are key to staying ahead of the competition.

The grand finale brings every team’s vision to life. Using the resources they have collected, participants build a physical representation of their KPN company, transforming ideas into a tangible result. Teams earn points for creativity, collaboration and how effectively they translate KPN’s vision into reality. The team that creates the happiest customers takes home the coveted gold-green medal… but every participant leaves with something even more valuable: new connections, a deeper understanding of KPN and an unforgettable onboarding experience.
