To bring these discussions to life, Strukton Civiel partnered with Businessgames to develop the ‘Go Green’ Sustainability Game. This interactive Serious Game helps clients and employees explore sustainability challenges together and experience how every decision influences the final outcome.

Build the most sustainable overpass

Participants work together to design and build the most sustainable overpass. Throughout the game, teams alternate between the roles of client and contractor. This allows them to experience both perspectives and understand the challenges each stakeholder faces. Every round introduces new requirements, priorities and sustainability criteria. Teams carefully select construction materials, weigh environmental impact against practical considerations and make strategic choices that meet the client’s objectives.

Success depends on more than technical knowledge alone. Teams must communicate effectively, negotiate priorities and make well-balanced decisions together. As the game progresses, participants discover that sustainable construction is the result of collaboration, transparency and shared responsibility.

Lasting impact beyond the game

By the end of the experience, participants understand how sustainability criteria influence decisions throughout the tender process. They gain insight into the complexity of balancing environmental ambitions with project requirements while strengthening collaboration between clients and contractors.
