The Municipality of Vlissingen
Employer Branding Games
Client: The Municipality of Vlissingen
Target group: 30-35 project leaders and project controllers
Objective: Offering tools for project-based working within the municipality
The Municipality of Vlissingen was searching for an external party to transfer their handbook in a memorable manner. In this handbook, all steps of project-based work were written down precisely. But how to bring this matter to life? We accepted the challenge and developed a game where participants experienced the benefits of working on a project basis.
During the game – which was located on one of the beaches of Vlissingen – the participants walked, one step at a time, through the handbook. The handbook was made visual by the means of whiteboards and magnets in the client’s corporate identity. In this way, it became visible which parts of the material the participants mastered already, where the pitfalls where and how participants could incorporate the content of the handbook in their project approach. Every team was responsible for a fictive project within the municipality. For example ‘Relocating the Dutch Railway Station’ or ‘Introducing Flexible Working Hours’.
Step by step, the participants learned in a fun manner how they could translate information from the handbook into practice.
